Windows 2000/XP/2003
A great feature of STGuru is you can open a file or a group of files directly
from Windows Explorer, just in the way you use WinZip. If you use STGuru in
Windows 95/98/Me, you can open at most 4 instances of STGuru at the same time. If
you use STGuru in Windows NT/2000/XP/2003, you can open much more, it depends on
current capacity of your operating system in opening programs.
STGuru
will automatically choose text files to open. Non-text files will be omitted.
If
some files in the file list are Simplified Chinese or Traditional Chinese text
files, STGuru will automatically change text display language to corresponding
languages for these files.
If
you have opened two many instances of STGuru, you can close all of the with the
command "Exit All" (the last command under the first File menu).
Pic UG-6-1 You can open file(s) to read or edit from Windows Explorer with
"Edit with STGuru" command in the context menu.
Pic UG-6-2 A preset system profile
"Open from Explorer" decides the appearance of STGuru when you open a
file from Windows Explorer. If you are not satisfied with current appearance,
you can edit this profile to fit your requirement.
Windows 2007/8/2008
If you work with Windows 7 or above,
you can choose Open with from the context menu and then click Choose
default program... to open a dialog box where you can specify STGuru (to set
it as default is optional). Next time STGuru will appear in the program list
next to "Open with".
